We are delighted to announce this years' Christmas lights winners! First prize goes to Rebecca Oxenham, of Philbert Street. Her display was described by our judges as a beautifully installed, sophisticated and joyous display - which must surely bring a smile to all who pass by, young and old, day and night. Well done Rebecca, you win our £150 first prize! And by the way, Philbert Street is one of our newer streets, in the Plasdwr development - and it's wonderful to see residents in this new part of Radyr contributing so well to the community spirit we always try to nurture, especially at Christmas! The second prize of £70 goes to Alan Baynham, of Penrhos. The judges commented that Alan had created a delightful Christmas scene in his front garden - which was a close contender for first prize. The third prize of £30 goes to last years' winner, Jason Fowler of Clos Ysgallen, in Morganstown. The judges were delighted to see Jason competing again - and were impressed by the colourful additions to his 2020 display. Again, Jason's Christmas lights show helped light-up our community, with a dazzling display of lights and festive figures. Do you agree with our judges? Let us know what you think?
We hope to run this competition again next Christmas - and we'd like to see many more entries then!
